Process

Every Folium engagement follows the same five steps. The pace varies—some installations come together in a few weeks, others over a season—but the structure is the same.

Specimens are sourced, prepped in-studio, and installed by hand in the room they were chosen for.

Inquiry

A short conversation by email or phone. We learn about your home, your timing, and what you're hoping for. If we're the right fit, we schedule a consultation.

02

Consultation & Site Study

An in-home visit. We assess light, humidity, architecture, and how each room is lived in. We talk through specimens and vessels you respond to, and any constraints—pets, travel schedules, existing collections.

03

Proposal

A written proposal with specimen and vessel pairings, mood references, sourcing notes, and pricing. We refine together until the plan feels right.

04

Sourcing & Installation

After a project deposit, we source the specimens and vessels, prepare them in-studio, and install on-site. White-glove delivery; nothing is left for the client to assemble or place.

05

Care

Not every client has the time to care for their installations. Although we always share detailed care instructions, maintenance memberships are recommended. Up to weekly visits, seasonal adjustments, and ongoing care—so the work we install stays well.
